Summer Community Service Fellowship

RMHUC's SCSF sponsors Harvard undergraduates (usually one per summer) to perform 3 months of community service work in Colorado, giving an award of $3000. The program is now jointly administered by the Harvard Alumni Association and the Center for Public Interest Careers of Phillips Brooks House.

Potential host/employers (non-profit service organizations that could use a summer intern), and Harvard undergraduates seeking positions should contact the Center for Public Interest Careers in Cambridge, 617-495-1842; or email: CPIC.

Summer Job and Career Internship Program

The RMHUC would like to encourage Colorado employers looking to hire current Harvard undergrads for summer jobs. Both paid and unpaid summer positions, as well as unpaid Career Internships and Radcliffe Externships during the spring recess can be listed.

Employers can post summer job openings through the Harvard Student Employment Office, Byerly Hall, 8 Garden St., Cambridge, MA 02138, 617-495-2585, or directly by using their Web site: Student Employment Office.

Also during spring recess each year, two programs offer students "real world" experience: the Career Internship program (all types of businesses and professions welcome) and the Radcliffe Extern program (a chance for women to spend time with alumnae at work and home). Potential hosts should contact Nancy Saunders at 617-495-2595 or by email: nsaund@fas.harvard.edu.

There is also a new "Radcliffe Mentor" program for women, about which we have no details. For information call 617-959-4864 or email: marine@fas.harvard.edu.

Current students in Cambridge should contact the Office of Career Services, 617-495-2595, for their catalog and updated listings of jobs. Students can also use the SEO Web site given above to view job listings.
